Job summary

FastTek Global, based in Michigan, seeks a Contractor Scheduler to coordinate daily work and plan resources for the assigned business unit. You will organize assignments and dispatch tasks, forecast short-range needs, and ensure smooth operations.

Strong organization, MS Office skills, and the ability to work well under urgent situations are essential. Utilities industry experience is a plus and growth opportunities are highlighted within the company.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in management or related field (minimum)
• Bachelor's degree may be preferred
• Experience in the utility industry is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule and support daily work and resource planning for the assigned business unit.
• Establish and execute a daily plan, organize assignments, and facilitate meetings.
• Communicate effectively with supervision, field operations, and supporting groups.
• Monitor work through systems, create/submit orders and adjust scheduling as needed.
• Support emergent matters following business unit processes and procedures.

Duties

• The Contractor Scheduler is responsible for the coordination, scheduling and support of daily work and planning of resources specific to the assigned business unit.
• Establish and execute a daily plan for the work; may include organizing and dispatching assignments, facilitating meetings, short-range forecasting, etc.
• Communicate effectively inline with supported business unit processes/procedures; may include interacting with supervision, field operations, or other operational supporting groups.
• Utilize various systems to monitor work, create/submit orders and requests, observe data and make scheduling adjustments as necessary. Some roles may require a deeper dive into data review to make appropriate modifications.
• Support emergent matters inline with the business units processes/procedures; may include escalations, volume monitoring, etc.

Education

• Schedulers typically need at least an associate's degree in management or a relevant field; a bachelor's degree may be preferred.
