Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Scheduler for a Birmingham, AL based role supporting energy, infrastructure, and construction projects. You will develop schedules, monitor progress, and collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, Cost Engineers, and Construction Leaders to keep projects on time and on budget.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of scheduling experience with Primavera P6, Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years scheduling experience in construction, EPC, or industrial projects.
• Strong Primavera P6 experience.
• Experience with Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Create post-construction as-built schedules and lessons learned reports.
• Analyze critical path activities, schedule risks, and project performance.
• Support planning, forecasting, resource loading, and cash flow reporting.
• Conduct schedule updates with project teams and site personnel.
• Partner with PMs, Cost Engineers, Estimators, and Contractors to align schedule, scope, and budget.
• Support project controls initiatives through schedule analysis and reporting.
• Utilize Primavera P6, Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore.

Project Scheduler

Birmingham, AL | Hybrid Schedule (Mon-Thu Onsite, Fridays Remote)

Are you a Scheduler who loves seeing projects come together from concept to completion? We're looking for a Project Scheduler to join a growing Project Controls team supporting major energy, infrastructure, and construction projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile capital projects while partnering with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, Cost Engineers, and Construction Leaders to drive successful project delivery. You'll play a critical role in developing schedules, analyzing project performance, identifying risks, and helping teams keep projects on track and on budget.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
• Create post-construction as-built schedules and lessons learned reports
• Analyze critical path activities, schedule risks, and project performance

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 3+ years of scheduling experience supporting construction, EPC, or industrial projects
• Strong experience with Primavera P6
• Background in Project Controls, Construction Management, or Cost Controls
• Experience with Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore
• Ability to develop, analyze, and maintain complex project schedules
• Energy, Power, Renewables, Industrial, or Infrastructure project experience preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $62.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
