Job summary

Talentify is seeking a day shift, full-time Cardiology Scheduler in Topeka, KS to manage patient appointments and facilitate efficient clinic flow.

Candidates should have at least one year of medical office experience, be able to type 40 wpm, and demonstrate excellent customer service, strong organization, and HIPAA knowledge. This role reports to the Clinic Supervisor/Manager and supports coordination across offices.

Qualifications

• One-year prior experience in a medical office setting.
• Proficient typing at 40 wpm and strong computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal; able to interact with patients, physician offices, nursing staff and co-workers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate more than one appointment at a time.
• Professional demeanor and knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Preferred: prior experience in physician clinic phone scheduling and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments from phone requests.
• Coordinate with physician offices, patients, Health Center departments and others to complete scheduling, including demographic information and insurance eligibility verification.
• Ensure proper patient records and film studies are available prior to appointments.
• Remind patients of appointments and to bring prior records when appropriate.
• Fill cancellations and reschedule appointments to improve provider schedule efficiency.
• Work under the supervision of the Clinic Supervisor/Manager.
