Job summary

Regency at St Clair Shores, part of Ciena Healthcare, is seeking a Staffing Coordinator in Michigan to ensure adequate nursing staff scheduling and compliance with staffing ratios.

The role involves daily roster maintenance, overtime monitoring, and coordination with Nursing Management. UKG Scheduling experience a plus; pay is competitive and benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and tuition/student loan reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years office administrative experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares schedule for the nursing department by scheduling all Licensed Nurses (RN/LPN) and CNAs to ensure state mandated staffing ratios are maintained.
• Monitor overtime and make daily staffing adjustments according to census needs.
• Maintain daily roster sheets for each shift.
• Daily review of previous day’s time clock punches with schedules.
• Seek supervisor approvals for exemptions, missing punches, absences, etc.
• Retrieve, organize and store all staffing related forms (sign-in sheets, assignment sheets, schedules, etc).
• Complete weekly schedule report and provide to corporate.
• Completes daily staffing and posts as required.
• Maintain state mandated ratios pertaining to staffing and ensure adequate RN coverage.
• Attend and participate in facility meetings, as assigned.
• Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The overall purpose of the Staffing Coordinator position is to utilize the organizational tools provided to ensure adequate staffing and scheduling of the nursing staff. Staffing personnel in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times. Also, to perform clerical duties as needed for Nursing Management of the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor overtime and make daily staffing adjustments according to census needs.

• Daily review of previous day’s time clock punches with schedules.
• Seek supervisor approval(s) for exemptions, missing punches, absences, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:
