Priority Ambulance California Llc is seeking an experienced Scheduler in the San Bernardino area. The role focuses on day-to-day scheduling support, ensuring shifts are filled by qualified personnel with proper certification and seniority.

You will be the first contact for scheduling issues and must maintain accurate scheduling data in HRIS. This hourly, non-exempt position requires excellent administrative skills, punctuality, and strict adherence to HIPAA and company policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintains up-to-date staff rooster to contact personnel for scheduling and payroll issues.
  • Ensures Master Schedule is fully staffed and manages planned openings due to vacations or leaves.
  • Contacts staff to fill open shifts for unplanned occurrences and emergencies.
  • Inputs data into scheduling software and acts as liaison between operations and dispatch.
  • Adheres to company policies, HIPAA, and maintains security of information and equipment.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, prioritizes customer service and safety.

ROLE SUMMARY

Scheduleris responsible forprovidingday to dayadministrative supportofscheduling activities for local operation.

Scheduleris responsible forensuring that each day all shifts are filled by the appropriately certified individual with theappropriate levelof seniority and in theappropriate overtimestatus.

Scheduleris responsible forcontactstaff to fill open shifts due to call offs, vacations, addedshifts.

Scheduleris responsible fordocumenting all activities inschedulingmodule of Human Resources Information System software.

Scheduler is to act as the primary liaison between local operations management staff and dispatch staffregardingscheduling and staffing matters.

This isaNon-Exempt/Hourlyposition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains up to date staff rooster ofentireworkforcein order tobe able to contact allpersonalregardingscheduling and payroll issues.
  • Is intimately familiar with operations Master Schedule and works withstaffandmanagement team to ensurescheduleis always fully staffed.
  • Works with staff and management team toanticipateand fill any planned openings in the operations Master Schedule due to vacation requests, leaves of absence, etc. by proactively planning and contacting the mostappropriate staffto fill open shifts.

  • Responsible for data input into human resources scheduling softwareregardingall scheduling and staffing activities.
  • First point of contact for all staffregardingany and allscheduling and staffing issues.
  • Demonstrates knowledge, understanding and complianceofcompany policies and procedures.
  • Ensures security of buildings, vehicles, equipment, supplies,systemsand all other company property.
  • Ensures the security of all company computer systems by adhering to security procedures andutilizingappropriate passwordspolicies.
  • Performs dailyappropriate housekeepingduties.
  • Complete andmaintainappropriate training,certificationand licensure for their position.
  • Maintaina high levelof customer service when dealing with patients, patient families, co-workers, clients, other healthcareprovidersand thegeneral public.
  • Maintains security and privacy of all confidential and proprietary company information at all timesin accordance withcompany policy.
  • Maintains security and privacy of all company and patient information at all timesinaccordanceHIPPA and all other local,stateand federal regulations.
  • Notifies Manager of any lapses in documentation resulting in less than full compliance with compliance and HIPAA standards.
  • Reports to assigned shifts properly groomed and attired and on time unless the proper notification has been made. Remains on duty until properly relieved.
  • At alltimessets an example of professionalism and places customer service,complianceand safetyabove all else.
  • Acts at all times with his/her personal safety in mind, as well as the safety of others.
  • Assuresall company goals,objectivesand procedures are followed on a daily basis.
  • Performs other duties as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office software packages.
  • Must have excellent administrative skills and bevery detailedorientated.
  • Must be punctual and able to meet deadlines as assigned.
  • Knowledge of human resourcesschedulingsoftware programsdesirable.
  • Must have the ability to properly perform job responsibilities as listed.
  • Mustpossessa high degree of personal integrity and responsibility.
  • Must have the ability to simultaneously manage multiple activities without error.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, using good judgment.
  • Must have good computer skills and be able to type at least 30 words per minute
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • MusthaveHighSchool Diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
