Job summary

Petersen in Ogden, UT is seeking a Scheduler to ensure work is properly scheduled to meet customer needs. You will manage demand and supply profiles, release production orders, and coordinate with operations to keep manufacturing on track.

The role requires ERP/MRP experience (Microsoft Dynamics AX and Infor), proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word, and the ability to type 25 WPM. A High School Diploma is preferred. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

Job Summary:

Ensures that work is properly scheduled to meet the needs of our customers. products to the customer.

Essential Functions:

Microsoft Dynamics AX/Infor:

• Serve as the primary point person for the elements of the ERP system that pertain to the demand/supply profile for manufactured products.
• Work with all Operational departments and IT to drive systemic improvements. Serve as the mentor and trainer to manufacturing personnel in all issues related to MRP.
• Participate in the effort to evolve the MRP system to better suit the needs of a Lean manufacturing environment.
• Firm and Release production orders for production

Microsoft Project:

• Create and maintain schedules.
• Provide quick responses to production issues.
• Identify problems and help improve processes.
• Use Microsoft Project to generate reports and schedules.
• Ensure that company deadlines are met.
• Attends meetings to preview or review existing or new Projects.
• Other job duties as required.

• Knowledge and utilization of scheduling, inventory control and planning methods
• General understanding of fabrication / machining / inventory and control
• Ability to type at least 25 WPM.

High School Diploma preferred.
