Job summary

Ride Designs in Mt Juliet, TN is seeking an entry-level team member to organize work order flow and ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining ISO 13485 and FDA QSR compliance.

You will support manufacturing through documentation, order tracking, and communication with customer service and production departments; some light scheduling and basic QC support will be involved.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, Word & Excel.
  • Knowledge of Outlook.
  • Knowledge of JDE a plus.
  • Good customer focus and strong verbal & written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage work order flow from customer service through manufacturing, including printing, scanning, delivering, updating and monitoring.
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation packages for production orders and track orders in JDE.
  • Order and reorder frames and parts, track expedite orders and perform order maintenance.
  • Respond to expedite emails and monitor on-time deliveries and late orders.
  • Coordinate with customer service and production teams on order status and kanban issues.
  • Assist in final quality checks and ensure compliance to work instructions.
  • Follow safety and housekeeping guidelines and participate in special projects as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Primarily responsible to organize work order flow, on-time deliveries and monitoring expedites orders. Responsible for compliance to quality standards including ISO 13485 and FDA Quality Systems Regulations (QSR).

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for work order flow from customer service through manufacturing, including printing, scanning, delivering, updating and monitoring. Review orders for options, seating, 100% inspection, Built-4-Me, bulk/spike orders, and service parts.
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation packages for production orders and proper work order scan tracking into JDE.
  • Responsible for ordering frames and reordering incoming parts, tracking and scheduling expedite orders and processing order maintenances.
  • Follow up and respond to expedite email requests.
  • Responsible for monitoring on–time deliveries, expedite orders, investigating reasons for late orders. Maintain contact with customer service and other production departments on order status, tracking bundled orders, expedite orders and late orders.
  • Responsible for taking measures to prevent late orders: Work order tracking, investigating part shortages and related kanban card issues, and expediting parts through QC and warehouse only as required.
  • During final TQC, inspects finished product and parts order for quality and compliance to work order. Assists in resolving quality issues.
  • Responsible for following all procedures and work instructions pertaining to inspection of finished product and documentation sign-offs.
  • Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines.
  • May work on special projects/assignments upon request.
QualificationsREQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
