Job summary

CST Industries, Inc. in Parsons, KS, is seeking a production supervisor to direct and coordinate activities in our manufacturing facility. You will lead daily production, ensure safety, and align operations with quality standards and cost objectives.

You will establish production priorities, monitor quality and costs, and collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and quality control teams to optimize resources and equipment utilization. Strong communication and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders.

  • Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
  • Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment to improve production and quality of products.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Directs and coordinates activities concerned with production of company products.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Promotes a safe and accident-free workplace.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:


  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one- year related experience and or training.

  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole, fractional and decimal numbers.



REASONING ABILITY:


  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

  • Handle problems involving variables in a standardized situation.

  • Ability to make decisions and know when/where to make concessions.



COMPUTER SKILLS:


  • Advanced level of knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Walk, must be able to move about inside the manufacturing and office and occasionally on a construction site or outside of the manufacturing facility.

  • Use hands/fingers to feel, must be able to operate computers, machinery, dimensional equipment.

  • Sit and stand, must be able to work at a stationary desk that may require sitting or standing. Standing on concrete floors and uneven terrain will be required frequently.

  • Climb and balance, must climb stairs and ladders.

  • Stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.

  • Talk/hear, must be able to communicate with operators and management frequently and exchange accurate information.

  • Lift and carry weights of 50lbs.
