Job summary

Akkodis seeks a Scheduler in Austin, TX to develop, manage, and monitor construction project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.

The role collaborates with contractors, designers, and project teams, analyzes delays, prepares recovery plans, and produces progress reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience considered.
• 5+ years of experience in construction planning and scheduling for large-scale projects.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project for schedule development and delay analysis.
• Knowledge of construction methods, risk management, and schedule recovery planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Coordinate with contractors, designers, suppliers and teams to track progress and resolve issues.
• Analyze delays, prepare delay reports, and recommend recovery and mitigation plans.
• Produce schedule reports, look-ahead schedules, progress updates and performance metrics.
• Support pre-construction planning with tender schedules and sequencing.
• Ensure schedules align with safety, design, and project objectives.

Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Scheduler for a Direct Hire with a client in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will develop and manage construction project schedules, monitor progress, and implement recovery strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Salary Range: $80K/Year to $90K/Year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Scheduler Job Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project to support successful construction project delivery.
• Coordinate with contractors, designers, suppliers, and project teams to track progress, identify risks, and resolve scheduling issues.
• Analyze project delays, prepare delay analysis reports, and recommend recovery plans and mitigation strategies.
• Produce schedule reports, look-ahead schedules, progress updates, and project performance metrics for stakeholders and clients.
• Support pre-construction planning by developing tender schedules and evaluating construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Ensure project schedules align with safety requirements, engineering constraints, design development, and overall project objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, and project controls for large-scale construction projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6 (preferred) and/or Microsoft Project, including schedule development, progress tracking, and delay analysis.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, contract administration, risk management, safety requirements, and schedule recovery/mitigation planning.
