Job Title

Schedule Analyst (Advanced)

Overview

SABG is hiring a full‑time Schedule Analyst (Advanced) to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Huntsville, AL.

Location

Huntsville, AL

Clearance

Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Extensive understanding and experience in the application of all scheduling methodologies
• Update, maintain, and report on multiple project schedules
• Advanced-level ability to use schedule software tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera, Open Plan) to create schedules, perform analytics, trend analysis, and risk assessments
• Advising and supporting leadership development of internal scheduling policies and managing battle rhythms for analysis and reporting
• Conduct Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs) and collaborate with teams across projects to extrapolate critical information for schedule development, maintenance, and analysis
• Teach and train basic and intermediate level schedulers on scheduling techniques and industry best practices
• Develop expert-level analysis presentations based on program structure and execution and present results to senior leadership
• Support and brief senior-level meetings, conduct “what‑if” analysis, and support special projects as required

Supervision

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems. Advanced-level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office and Adobe software suites are required.

Education and Experience

• BA/BS in related field with 10 years of relevant experience; MA/MS, PMP or PMI‑SP certification may substitute for 3 years of experience
• 10+ years of direct experience related to scheduling and planning, including advanced knowledge of scheduling tools (MS Project Server, Primavera, Open Plan)
• High levels of interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
• Critical thinking, analysis, and high communication skills (written and spoken)

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Mathematical Skills

Application of concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, question activities and issues in all functional areas, and make sound business decisions based on that data.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear; write and type on a computer; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Work Environment
