The Opportunity
The Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to ensure the timely delivery of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of scheduling tools, project management principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. The Master Scheduler will play a critical role in aligning project timelines with strategic objectives and resource availability.
Responsibilities
- Schedule Development and Maintenance: Create and maintain detailed project schedules using advanced scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and ensure alignment with project milestones, deadlines, and resource availability.
- Resource Allocation: Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and quality standards; collaborate with project managers and team leads to balance workloads and address resource constraints.
- Risk Management: Identify potential scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies; conduct regular schedule risk assessments and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on schedule status, progress, and changes; facilitate meetings with project teams to review schedules and resolve issues.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve scheduling processes and tools; implement best practices in scheduling and project management.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all scheduling activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, and industry standards; maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of schedules and related communications.
- Support and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior schedulers and project team members; mentor and train team members on scheduling best practices and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is ideal.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in scheduling, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Experience in defense, intelligence, or federal projects is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is preferred.
- Certification in scheduling (e.g., Certified Associate in Project Management Scheduling (CAPS)) is a plus.

Pay Range
The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is $95,500-$210,100
