Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants, part of HSHS, seeks a Schedistrar to support patient flow at the Springfield location. You will greet patients at check-in, collect co-pays and deductibles at point of service, and schedule follow-ups in a fast-paced cardiology setting.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of customer service and clerical experience; healthcare exposure and medical terminology knowledge are preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• 1-year experience in customer service and general clerical/office procedures is required.
• 1-year healthcare experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients at check-in and collect co-pays and deductibles at point of service.
• Process appointments and coordinate scheduling for cardiology patients.
• Support revenue cycle activities and patient communications as part of the front desk team.
