Job summary

Cognizant Consulting is seeking a SCEPTRE Domain Consultant to lead discovery for a major North American airline project in a hybrid Dallas-based role. You will define evidence to guide decoupling and create an implementation roadmap in collaboration with architects and airline stakeholders.

You will map data flows across SCEPTRE modules, assess risks, and translate technical findings into actionable business requirements while supporting Agile discovery sprints and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Aviation Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of airline maintenance, repair and overhaul technology transformation, systems implementation, or functional business analysis.
• Direct hands-on experience with SCEPTRE or comparable IBM mainframe-based MRO platform.
• Documenting current-state processes and eliciting requirements in airline maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured discovery across SCEPTRE modules: Maintenance Execution, Materials Management, Planning and Optimization, Procurement, Finance and Warranty, and shared integrations.
• Document current-state business processes, rules, data structures, and undocumented system logic identified through functional analysis.
• Map integrations between SCEPTRE and connected platforms (SAP/ERP, AeroExchange, SPEC2000, EMS, Flight Operations).
• Partner with solution architects to assess decoupling feasibility, impacts, risks, data quality, and preserved capabilities.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and translate COBOL findings into validated business requirements; contribute to gap analyses and build-versus-buy inputs.
