• Construct, build, and repair scenic elements using a variety of materials and hardware based on designer blueprints and drafting plans.
• Safely operate fixed and portable power tools, hand tools, and shop machinery.
• Assist with load-ins, set installation, and load-outs (strike) according to production deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment in compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Technical Director, scenic artists, and Logistics crew to meet visual, structural and functional requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in scenic carpentry, theatrical construction, or custom woodworking.
• Proven ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and scale models.
• Proficiency with standard carpentry equipment (table saw, miter saw, pneumatic fasteners, routers).
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, work on your feet, and navigate ladders or scaffolding safely.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to structural safety.
