TRIGGER(HOUSE is an experiential agency delivering high-impact experiences, from large events to pop-up campaigns. The Scenic Carpenter builds and assembles production elements, applying craftsmanship within budget and schedule constraints.

You will work hands-on with carpentry, metal fabrication, welding, wiring, painting, vinyl installation, and related tasks to support dynamic projects. Safety and quality are the priorities as you contribute to innovative programs for global brands.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble wood, plastic, and metal structures with required tools.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and renderings.
• Monitor job costing, quality reporting, forecasting, and productivity.
• Collaborate daily with management to align on goals and quality.
• Record costs and learning from rework to prevent recurrence.
• Proactively address special requests or issues in a timely manner.
• Observe strict safe work habits and PPE use.
• Develop relationships with vendors and team members for smoother workflows.
• Travel to event sites to support fabrication installations when needed.
• Demonstrate high standards of quality and adherence to processes.

Job description

The Scenic Carpenter is responsible for building and assembling event and project elements that meet the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and design intent. This role supports the execution of creative concepts within defined budgets and timelines.

Work may include, but is not limited to, carpentry, metal fabrication, welding, wiring, painting, vinyl installation, and other hands-on production tasks. The Scenic Carpenter must operate all tools and equipment safely, following established procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear at all times.

Job Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble wood, plastic, and metal structures with the ability to use all appropriate equipment and tools.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and design renderings accurately.
• Monitor job costing, quality reporting, forecasting, and productivity.
• Work closely with management each day to align on production goals and quality expectations, address any challenges that arise with people, materials, or methods, and share ideas to help the team reach project milestones efficiently.
• When rework is required, help the team learn from any mistakes and accurately record costs.
• Proactively seek solutions to special requests or issues related to work in a timely and professional manner.
• Observe strict safe work habits
• Develop strong working relationships with vendors, resources, and team members
• Travel to event sites for team support and fabrication installations as needed; represent the Company and its clients professionally and responsibly while in the field
• Demonstrate the highest standards of quality and adherence to company processes, procedures, and craftsmanship expectations.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficient with common shop tools and equipment, including hand/power tools, pneumatic staplers, table/chop saws, sanders, and drill press.
• Experience with fine/finish carpentry, painting, and basic low-voltage electrical/lighting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, renderings, and build plans.
• CNC router, welding/metal fabrication, vinyl application, and plexi welding experience preferred but not required.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and dependable, with the ability to manage priorities and see projects through to completion.
• Adaptable and resilient; receptive to feedback, changing priorities, established processes, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn and grow.
