Job summary

Infosys SURE unit in the United States seeks an Infrastructure Consultant 2 to drive OS imaging, SCCM deployment, and Windows endpoint management. You will collaborate across client teams to resolve incidents, document findings, and support infrastructure upgrades.

The role emphasizes automation, documentation, and scalable design. You will develop and test SCCM Task Sequences, manage deployments, and ensure client systems run reliably.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with OS imaging and Microsoft SCCM (Configuration Manager).
• Create, maintain, and manage Windows OS images using MDT and SCCM.
• Develop, customize, test, and troubleshoot SCCM Task Sequences for OS deployment.
• Troubleshoot issues related to OS imaging, Operating System Deployment (OSD), PXE boot, drivers, and Task Sequence failures.
• Manage Windows endpoint devices within the SCCM environment, including collections, deployments, applications, packages, and configurations.
• Perform software distribution, application deployment, and Windows patching through SCCM.
• Monitor SCCM infrastructure, client health, deployment status, and overall system performance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and document findings with preventive recommendations.
• Assist in evaluating client IT infrastructure and preparing actionable assessment reports.
• Support due diligence to document infrastructure maturity and improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to designing scalable, cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions and developing technical documentation.
• Coordinate release schedules and environment readiness, execute deployments per protocol, and perform post-deployment testing.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, emergency fixes, and technology upgrades while ensuring uninterrupted integration into existing systems and processes.
• Facilitate performance data analysis across systems, coordinate insights on system behavior, and support capacity planning.
• Conduct security checks, recovery drills, and compliance audits, implement security measures, and coordinate continuity plans.
• Gather feedback to identify automation opportunities and propose efficiency enhancements; liaise with onsite, offshore, and vendor teams.
• Develop a centralized repository of technical knowledge and leverage insights from other projects.
