Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Desktop Engineer II to design and implement packaging, OS deployments, and security patching for Windows, O365, and related apps.

The role includes creating test plans, documenting bulletins, and supporting Active Directory, policy design, and SCCM/MEMCM management. You will script with PowerShell to automate changes and participate in on-call rotations. This is a full-time position based in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience designing, testing, integrating, upgrading, and support of Microsoft Windows Desktop applications.
• Three years of experience in MS Windows PowerShell scripting and Active Directory support for workstations.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/IS or related field; MCSE, MDT, MEMCM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage security and configuration standards for mobile devices using Citrix Airwatch, and MS InTune.
• Design and support Active Directory group policies.
• Provide advanced desktop technical support, engineering practices, recommendations, advice, and enhancements.
• Provide strategic planning and management of the MECCM/Microsoft System Center configurations.
• Create and modify PowerShell scripts to automate changes in SCCM, O365, Windows environments.
• Flex schedule for emergent issues and participate in On-Call schedule.
• Perform application packaging and targeted deployments utilizing SCCM to endpoints.
• Assist with asset tracking and reporting of desktop hardware and software resources.
