Job summary

MES Life Safety is seeking a full-time Service Technician (Air Products – SCBA) to inspect, maintain, repair, and test SCBA systems for first responders. You will perform preventive maintenance, tests, and calibrations, conduct service calls across central Texas, and train users while ensuring safety and compliance with NFPA and manufacturer guidelines.

Ideal candidates bring SCBA maintenance experience and certifications, strong computer skills, and a willingness to travel 25–30%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience servicing and maintaining SCBA equipment preferred.
• SCBA maintenance certification or training preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and Scott/3M guidelines.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Willing to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect SCBA units and related equipment for readiness and safety.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and component replacements as needed.
• Conduct pressure, airflow, and leak tests per specs.
• Document inspections, repairs, and test results thoroughly.
• Calibrate SCBA equipment and train end-users.
• Manage spare parts inventory for repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Interact with customers to address equipment concerns.
