Job summary

Nightwing seeks a full-time Scanning Technician for a Ft. Meade, MD on-site role supporting the Intelligence Community. The position requires a TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities include preparing and scanning documents, labeling boxes, inventory checks, and indexing while ensuring accuracy and adherence to SOPs. Collaboration with sponsor teams is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Label arriving boxes and record the box numbers in a logbook.
• On receipt, perform inventory check and prepare documents for scanning.
• Scan documents and separator sheets; log batches and resolve discrepancies.
• Care for and clean government-furnished scanning equipment per SOP.
• Review scanned documents for accuracy; rescans if documents are unacceptable.
• Recommend improvements to the SOP and present to Sponsor for approval.
• Transport classified data and scanning equipment securely between Sponsor and locations.

Nightwingseeks a full-time Scanning Technician for our Ft. Meade, Maryland client in support of a dynamic Intelligence Community officelocatedon the Ft. Meade campus. The core hours are 0500-1600Scanning technicians prepare,scanand deliver documents to the office that perform declassification services as well as to other government agencies. The position requires a TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph that was completed less than seven years ago. A valid driver’s license and the ability to load/unload boxes that weigh up to 50lbs.

Mandatory Requirements

Scanning technicians must have at least one year of relevant experience anddemonstratea high levelof attention to detail and be hyper-focused on accuracy. They will document and report equipment issues or failures to the contractor team lead or the client supervisor.Tasks:

• When new boxes arrive, scanning technicians will put labels on the boxes and record the box number in a logbook
• Upon receipt of documents perform and inventory check to ensure all documents and pages are accounted for and readied for scanning. Preparation is to consist of bar coding, inventory control, staple removal, clean up, and placement ofappropriate separatorsheets
• Scanappropriate documentsand separator sheets. An inventory shall be performed at the beginning a completion of each “batch” of documents and any discrepancies noted and repaired. Error correction could include rescanning of the documents
• Provide for the care and cleaning of all Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) scanning equipment as recommended by the manufacturer. This includes, but is not limited to, loading the feeders, clearing any documentjamsand removing completed documents
• Review the scanned documents to verify that the information extracted isaccurateand complete. Unacceptable documents shall be rescanned-Document the current Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the preparation, scanning, indexing and equity review of documents for Sponsor approval
• Recommend improvements to the SOP and present to the Sponsor for approval
• Securely transport classified data and GFE scanning equipment between Sponsor and OGA locations.

The salary associated with this position $64,000-$128,000is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
