Job summary

Stratton Mountain Resort is hiring for a seasonal, part-time Ticket Scanner position. The role focuses on validating every ticket or season pass at the lift entrance, engaging with guests to ensure a smooth mountain experience, and making quick decisions to keep lines moving efficiently.

The ideal candidate is at least 14 years old, able to work outdoors in varying weather, and comfortable with electronic equipment. The position pays $20.00 per hour and recruitment runs through December.

Qualifications

• Must have previous customer service experience (preferred).
• Able to communicate clearly and solve problems independently.
• Able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working with electronic equipment and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure RFID gate reads guest passes at the lift entry.
• Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of maze for guest flow.
• Manage opening/closing pinch points to maximize traffic flow.
• Be knowledgeable about ticket types and pricing to assist guests.
• Respond to guest inquiries and provide first-class service.
• Maintain current mountain and event information for guests.

Position Summary

Ticket Scanners are responsible for ensuring every ticket or season pass is validated each time the guest rides the lift. This involves engaging with and providing a first-class mountain adventure for each and every guest, communicating clearly and making split second decisions to ensure proper ticket validation. This is a seasonal position with part-time opportunities, paid at $20.00/hr.

Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

Essential Duties

• Ensure RFID gate reads guests passes
• Assist with the orchestration, set up, and breakdown of maze
• Open and close pinch points as needed for maximum traffic flow
• Be aware of all ticket types and prices
• Assist and respond to guest inquiries
• Must have current information about the mountain and events
• Ability to troubleshoot RFID gates and tablet equipment
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements

• Must be at least 14 years of age or older
• Able to work outside for long periods of time in inclement weather
• Reliable transportation to/from work
• Must be able to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Able to communicate and problem solve independently
• Must be comfortable working with electronic equipment
• Ability to lift 50lbs on a consistent basis
• Actively pursuing a High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience, preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work weekends and holidays.
