Job summary

MAC.BID is seeking a Scanline Floater to support the scan team at our on-site facility in Uniontown. You will inspect inbound products, classify condition, and assist with basic electronics testing and handling to keep the auction process moving smoothly.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lb alone (50 lb with a team), and following written directions. Schedules may vary by location, with a 30-minute lunch break and 8-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for defects.
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged.
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess condition.
• Move products to the conveyor for scanners to process.
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly.
• Move products to bays, placing them by auction and lot number.
• Help the team meet quantity and quality goals.
• Sweep and remove trash from bays and mobile scan area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

JOB OVERVIEW

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

• Availability to work on-site. Schedules may vary Monday through Saturday, depending on location, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break, hours determined by workload and GM
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be tech-savvy
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
