Job summary

MAC.BID in Cowpens, SC is hiring a Scanline Floater to prep products for the scan team and position them for processing. You will move goods to the conveyor, remove scanned items, and shelve items by auction and lot number. The job requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs with a team.

Responsibilities include inspecting inbound products, classifying condition, and performing basic electronics tests. On-site shifts and a comprehensive benefits package follow after probation.

Qualifications

• Availability to work on-site; shifts may vary Mon-Sat.
• Lift 25 lb alone, 50 lb with team.
• Must be tech-savvy and able to handle basic electronics.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Follow written directions and company policies.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for defects and categorize condition.
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition.
• Move products to conveyor for scanning and to bays by lot number.
• Remove scanned products promptly and keep scanning area clean.
• Help team meet quantity and quality goals daily.
• Sweep bays and remove trash from the mobile scan area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

• Availability to work on-site. Schedules may vary Monday through Saturday, depending on location, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break, hours determined by workload and Management
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be tech-savvy
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
