Job summary

MAC.BID in Hamilton, OH is hiring a Scan Line Floater (Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt). The role prepares and positions products for the scan team, moves items to scanning areas, and shelves products by auction and lot numbers.

You will report to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead and support daily operations. The job requires on-site work, the ability to lift up to 50 lb with team lift, basic technical aptitude, and endurance to stand/walk for long periods.

Qualifications

• Availability to work on-site at Hamilton, OH with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with team lift.
• Must be tech-savvy and able to follow written directions.
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for defects.
• Categorize products (Like New, Open Box, Damaged).
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess condition.
• Move products to the conveyor for scanning and to bays for storage.
• Assist the scan team and maintain organized inventory according to lot numbers.
• Support the team in meeting quantity and quality goals.

SCANLINE FLOATER

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management
