Job summary

MAC.BID is hiring for a Scan/Scanner support role in Warren, OH. The position is full-time, on-site, with a 8am–4pm weekday schedule, requiring the ability to lift weights and stand for long periods while inspecting and shelving auction items.

The role involves basic electronics checks, product categorization, and fast removal of scanned items to keep the flow of the scan team efficient. Benefits and 401(k) are included after specified periods.

Qualifications

• Availability to work on-site. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift.
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time.
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies.
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management
