Job summary

MAC.BID is hiring a Scanline Floater to support the scan team at our Spartanburg, SC facility. This full-time hourly role involves inspecting inbound products, classifying condition, testing basic electronics, and positioning items for scanning and auction processing.

You will lift up to 25 lb (50 with team lift), stand and walk for long periods, follow written directions, and contribute to meeting quality and quantity goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Availability to work on-site Monday through Friday, 8:00AM–4:30PM, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be tech-savvy
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.
