Job summary

MAC.BID in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Scanline Floater to prepare and position products for the scan team and move items to bays according to auction procedures. This is a full-time, on-site hourly position reporting to the Scan Team Lead.

The role requires basic lifting, ability to stand/walk for long periods, and the capacity to work with written directions and policies. Training provided and a path to growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Availability to work on-site Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.
