Job summary

MAC.BID in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Scanline Floater to support the scan team by preparing and positioning products and placing scanned items back into storage.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and being tech‑savvy with the ability to follow written directions. On-site work Monday through Friday with weekly pay and benefits follow.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for defects.
• Categorize products as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged.
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess condition.
• Move products to the conveyor for scanning.
• Return scanned products to bays and storage areas as per system.
• Help the team meet quantity and quality goals.
• Sweep and remove trash from bays and scanning area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

SCANLINE FLOATER

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION:

Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Availability to work on-site Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be tech-savvy
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
