Job summary

MAC.BID in Canton, OH is seeking a Scanline Floater for full-time manual labor. You will inspect, categorize, test basics, and position products for the scan team, while moving items to conveyors and shelves in a fast-paced auction environment.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 25 lb alone (50 lb with assistance), and a Monday–Friday schedule (8:30am–5pm). Training provided and benefits after start date.

Qualifications

• On-site availability required; Mon-Fri 8:30am–5pm.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb alone and 50 lb with team lift.
• Must be tech-savvy and comfortable using basic scanning equipment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for defects and categorize as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged.
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess condition.
• Move products to the conveyor for scanning and remove scanned items promptly.
• Place items in bays according to auction and lot numbers on shelves.
• Help the team meet quantity and quality goals and assist with cleanup.

SCANLINE FLOATER

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Availability to work on-site. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be tech-savvy
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
