Job summary

MAC.BID in Akron, OH is seeking a Scan Floater to prepare and position products for the scan team, inspect inbound products, and move items to conveyer belts. This on-site role reports to the Scan Team Lead and requires the ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs with team lift, and follow written directions.

You will categorize items, test basic electronics, place products in bays by auction lot, and support the team to meet quantity and quality goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• On-site availability; Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess condition
• Move products to the conveyor for scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Place products in bays according to auction and lot number
• Assist the team to meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Availability to work on-site.Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
