Job description

The Scaler is responsible for measuring and assessing the quality and quantity of logs for the processing of payment and inventory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with rules, regulations and JSAs.
  • Follow safety protocols and report hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Accurately measure logs, assess quality and grade following state board scaling criteria and company standards
  • Maintain accurate records of measurements and assessments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Idaho Log Scaling Certificate required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in log scaling, Logyard operation or forestry
PHYSICAL DEMANDS- Production

Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs.
