Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks an Inorganic Powder Production Technician to join the Materials and Processing Team at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base AFRL site. You will assist with scaled synthesis of ceramic powder precursors and follow established SOPs in a laboratory and manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include general lab support, quality control of materials, and documenting results while supporting scientists in standardizing new scaled processes. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Associate degree with at least two years of lab or production experience; or bachelor's in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to follow written SOPs and verbal instructions.
• Ability to provide technical written reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of laboratory methods and analytical techniques.
• Ability to manage workload with moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

• General laboratory support and housekeeping.
• Perform laboratory tasks as assigned.
• Follow health and safety requirements for the workplace.
• Quality control of scaled synthesized materials.
• Execute assigned laboratory and production activities with supervision.
• Escalate non-routine issues per procedures and methods.
• Support scientists in developing and standardizing scaled processes.
• Document and communicate technical observations and QC results.
