Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Scale Operator to accurately weigh vehicles, record loads, and process charges at our Mansfield, OH facility. The role requires interaction with customers, handling payments, and documenting transactions in the computer system.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, maintain daily receipts, and support related duties as needed. Night/weekend shifts may be required; valid driver’s license and pre-employment testing are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk between locations (frequently).
• Ability to communicate clearly via radio, intercom, phone, and in person.
• Ability to manage a high volume of work in an organized, efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Operate scale equipment to weigh incoming/outgoing vehicles and determine charges.
• Receive payment, provide receipts, document transactions in the system.
• Interact professionally with customers and respond to inquiries about procedures.
• Balance daily receipts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
