Scoular is seeking a motivated Scale Operator to join our team and support grain operations during the harvest season in Kansas. This seasonal position offers on-site work with on-the-job training provided.

You will weigh and test grain, direct trucks, and assist the production crew to ensure timely unloading. The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the facility while providing superior customer service to the Producers/Drivers.
• Weigh all trucks coming into and leaving the facility and direct them to loading/unloading areas; communicate with production crew.
• Probe inbound trucks to collect commodity samples and enter information into tracking system.
• Maintain housekeeping in office and scale room areas.
• Greet customers and visitors professionally and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Perform other duties to support operations.

This is a seasonal position lasting through our harvest cycle in mid-September that has the possibility to transition to full-time. Primary duties include:

• Receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the facility while providing superior customer service to the Producers/Drivers.
• Weigh all trucks coming into and leaving the facility and directing trucks to the proper location for loading and unloading. Communicate with the production crew to ensure timely unloading of trucks.
• Probe all inbound trucks to collect commodity sample and enter all customer and commodity information into tracking system.
• Housekeeping duties to keep area within the office area and scale room clean and presentable.
• Greet customers and visitors (both in person and via telephone) in a professional and courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate individual if necessary.
• Other duties as needed to support operations.

• Must be able to remain standing on hard surfaces for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in an environment with high levels of grain dust.
• Must be able to bend and reach in normal range of movement.
