Scoular is seeking a motivated Scale Operator for the harvest season through mid-September, with a possible transition to full-time. This team-oriented role emphasizes safe, reliable grain handling and strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will weigh and test grain, direct trucks, collect samples, and keep the scale and office area organized. The job requires outdoor work in heat, cold, wind, and grain dust, with on-the-job training provided.

• Must be able to bend and reach in normal range of movement.

Responsibilities

• Receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the facility while providing superior customer service to the Producers/Drivers.
• Weigh trucks entering and leaving the facility and direct them to the proper location for loading and unloading. Communicate with the production crew to ensure timely unloading of trucks.
• Probe inbound trucks to collect commodity samples and enter all customer and commodity information into tracking system.
• Housekeeping duties to keep area within the office area and scale room clean and presentable.
• Greet customers and visitors in a professional and courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate individual if necessary.
• Other duties as needed to support operations.
• On-the-job training provided.

This is a seasonal position lasting through our harvest cycle in mid-September that has the possibility to transition to full-time. Primary duties include:

• Receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the facility while providing superior customer service to the Producers/Drivers.
• Weigh all trucks coming into and leaving the facility and directing trucks to the proper location for loading and unloading. Communicate with the production crew to ensure timely unloading of trucks.
• Probe all inbound trucks to collect commodity sample and enter all customer and commodity information into tracking system.
• Housekeeping duties to keep area within the office area and scale room clean and presentable.
• Greet customers and visitors (both in person and via telephone) in a professional and courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate individual if necessary.
• Other duties as needed to support operations.
