Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Scale Operator to manage scale operations, assist with truck dispatch, and provide accurate customer service. You will process tickets, verify weights and times, and ensure compliance with DOT and safety policies in a fast-paced yard environment.

Responsibilities include data entry, deposits handling, daily reporting, and collaborative work with dispatch and plant teams. Prior scale experience is a plus; a high school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer support to internal and external customers; ensure COD orders are collected and properly documented.
• Prepare deposit bag in accordance with Company Policy.
• Ensure tickets are verified for numbers, dates and times; ensure trucks leave the yard properly loaded.
• Ensure safety, compliance, environment and DOT requirements are followed at all times.
• Coordinate truck dispatch to jobs with orders from Dispatch; operate computer to produce tickets.
• Send transaction register and ticket copies to main office daily.
• Answer phones and take accurate messages for others in their absence.
• Gain product knowledge to answer customer questions.
• Tares trucks (empty weight) weekly and record as appropriate; maintain records of tons sold by product.
• Assist plant employees as required; perform other administrative duties.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety and environmental policies.

About The Role

Provide timely and accurate tickets to customers ensuring the smooth flow of customers over the scale. Assists in the coordination of truck dispatch orders to ensure maximum efficiency of trucking.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Provides excellent customer support to internal; and external customers Ensure that all COD orders that Money is collected and properly documented
• Prepares deposit bag in according to Company Policy
• Ensures that tickets are verified for numbers, dates and time accuracy and ensures that customer trucks (Internal and external customers) leave the yard properly loaded.
• Ensures that safety, compliance, environment and DOT requirements are followed at all times.
• Coordinates truck dispatch to jobs withorders received from Dispatch office and operates computer to produce appropriate customer tickets.
• Sends transaction register and ticket copies to main office on a daily basis.
• Answers phone and takes accurate messages for other in their absence.
• Gains and maintenances product knowledge necessary to answer customer questions.
• Tares trucks (empty weight) on weekly basis and records as appropriate as well as maintains accurate records of tons sold by product. Performs housekeeping duties to ensure that scale house is clean and orderly.
• Assist plant employees as required Performs other administrative duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment, including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
