Job summary

Wayne Farms in Union Springs, Alabama, is hiring for a night shift role. You will weigh products, label boxes, and move 40-70 lb loads onto the track. Expect to work nights, weekends, and holidays with safety PPE and on-site benefits from day one.

This position offers $20.40/hour plus a $1,500 sign & stay bonus and an 8-hour shift schedule in a cold, wet environment. High school diploma or equivalent and basic math are required.

PAY: $20.40/hour + $1,500 Sign & Stay Bonus

WORK SCHEDULE: 4:30 PM - 1:35 AM

BENEFITS: Available first day of hire

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Must accurately weigh product and place correct label on box.
• Lift and place 40 - 70 pound boxes of product onto track.
• Ensure proper ice coverage on all product around employee’s scale.
• May be required to dump product from lugs into a combo.
• Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers
• Do all tasks assigned by members of management
• Must be able to follow directions and work in other departments as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.

Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.

Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Hatchery or relative poultry industry experience.

Basic math functions and skills.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements
• Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)
• Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift
• Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production
