Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a warehouse/box-weighing associate to accurately weigh products and apply correct labels. You will lift 40-70 lb boxes, manage ice coverage, and work with supervision to follow directions and complete assigned tasks in a fast-paced plant environment.

Safety PPE is required and will be provided. Night, weekend, and holiday shifts are possible, and prior poultry experience is helpful but not required.

• May be required to dump product from lugs into a combo.

• Follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

PAY: $19.40 + $1,500 Sign & Stay Bonus

WORK SCHEDULE: 7:33 AM - 4:25 PM

BENEFITS: Available first day of hire

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for weighing boxes of product; ensures accuracy of weight, labels, and codes. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

• Lift and place 40 - 70 pound boxes of product onto track.
• Ensure proper ice coverage on all product around employee's scale.
• May be required to dump product from lugs into a combo.

• Must be able to follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
• Must be able to perform additional duties as assigned.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Poultry experience preferred but not required

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements
• Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). PPE required but subject to change: Hairnet, beard net, shoe covers, gloves, smock, earplugs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45F, 4C)
• Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift
• Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production
• Must be able to lift and push up to 70 lbs.
