Job summary

JBS USA in Grand Island, Nebraska is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for the upkeep and repair of scales and other electronic equipment plant wide. You will learn state and federal codes related to scales and develop creative solutions to increase production and reduce costs.

The role requires self motivation and the ability to take on and complete projects to support production needs. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing printers, labelers, scales, and HMIs.

Qualifications

• Proficient English communication, both written and spoken.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair printers and labelers (direct and thermal transfer).
• Diagnose and repair scales according to state and federal codes.
• Knowledge of metal detection systems and installation methods.
• Programming of HMI software (Wonderware, RSView).
• Install and diagnose variable frequency and servo drives.
• Strong working knowledge of both AC and DC electricity.
