GR8 Tech group in the United States is seeking a Senior/Lead Software Engineer to own high-level system design and architectural decisions for features, services, and platform components. You will mentor engineers, perform technical evaluations, collaborate with team leads, support incident resolution, and drive technical excellence across distributed systems in product or B2B environments.

Strong communication in English required; experience in Scala and Java preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience and prior senior/lead role.
• Proven experience in Scala and Java.
• Experience designing and building scalable distributed systems in product-based or B2B environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong system design and architectural thinking with best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and technical communication.
• Upper-Intermediate (B2+) English and Ukrainian or Russian.

Responsabilités

• Mentor engineers and contribute to their professional development.
• Assist Team Leads in defining and executing Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
• Promote knowledge sharing, documentation, and engineering culture improvements.
