Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 in Jersey City, NJ, to contribute to requirements elicitation, design decisions, coding, and testing. You’ll help guide the technical team to build scalable software solutions and maintain code quality.

You’ll work with banking, wealth management, and insurance clients in a global delivery environment, translating complex requirements into actionable tasks and delivering robust Scala/Java applications with RESTful APIs and microservices.

Qualifications

• Experience in Scala, including functional programming concepts such as immutability, higher-order functions, and collections.
• Experience in Core Java, multithreading, concurrency, collections, memory management, and JVM performance tuning.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Scala/Java frameworks.
• Experience with Akka, actor-based systems, and building resilient, high-throughput distributed applications.
• Strong communication and Analytical skills.
• Ability to work in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided.
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications.
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base.
