The ideal candidate has extensive Java/Scala experience, strong design sense, and the ability to mentor juniors while collaborating with stakeholders on technical design and testing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience, with emphasis on Java.
• 5+ years of hands-on Scala development.
• Proven ability to design and develop RESTful APIs.
• Experience with functional programming and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Git and Maven for version control and builds.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

For our client, we are seeking a Scala Backend Developer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on building and maintaining server-side systems that support scalable, reliable software delivery in a technology-driven environment. You will work across API development, data processing, and distributed systems architecture to help ensure strong performance and data integrity. The position also involves partnering with stakeholders on requirements and technical design while contributing to code quality through testing, reviews, and mentorship.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $120,700 – $163,300 annually
