Job summary

TIC_Craft in the United States is seeking a skilled worker to perform erection and dismantling of scaffolding, operate heavy equipment, and rig loads on construction projects.

The role requires reading blueprints, selecting tools, erecting scaffolds, and ensuring safety and compliance with project plans.

Candidates should be able to work outdoors in all weather, climb heights, and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related field experience.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to read, understand and transmit written and oral instructions clearly.
• Proficient with electrical, hand, power, and layout tools plus measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials.
• Identify tools required and measure, mark, and cut materials to spec.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding; install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
• Construct, reinforce, and dismantle pre-constructed scaffolds.
• Build and construct wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.
• Rig loads and perform rigging operations as required.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time, costs, resources, or materials.
• Inspect subordinates' work for compliance with plans and specifications.

Position Summary

Perform work involving the erection and dismantling of scaffolding, operation of heavy equipment, rigging the equipment loads, and completion of various construction projects.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Read blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
• Identify all tools required for tasks and measure, mark, and cut required wooden/metallic materials to required specifications.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding for buildings and other structures and installs ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
• Construct, re-enforce, and dismantle pre-constructed Scaffolds.
• Build and construct wooden Scaffolds and auxiliary items.
• Perform work involving rigging of equipment loads.
• Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools

• Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
