Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our field crew. The role involves erecting scaffolding, selecting appropriate materials, and planning installations to avoid obstacles and coordinate with other trades.

You will work with scaffold builders, handle materials, and ensure safety procedures are followed on site. The candidate should have a minimum of six years of industrial construction experience, be able to traverse uneven terrain, climb ladders, and operate hand and power

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of industrial construction experience.
• Ability to traverse uneven terrain safely while transporting tools and materials.
• Capable of climbing vertical ladders and working above/below ground as needed.
• Follows all safety procedures and uses hand/power tools dexterously.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Scaffold Builders to perform tasks.
• Selects proper size and type of building materials according to project specs.
• Plans installation to avoid obstructions and interference with other workers.
• Assembles cut and shaped materials by fastening with nails and scaffold pins.
• Verifies trueness of structures using a plumb bob and level.
• Erects framework and scaffolding for structures.
• Loads and unloads materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and restocks supplies.
• Safe traversal of uneven terrain with tools and materials.
