Job summary

City of Richardson is seeking a SCADA Operator Supervisor to oversee the Response Center and operate the SCADA system for the water distribution and wastewater collection systems. In the supervisor's absence, you will lead Water System Operators and ensure timely reporting to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

You will plan duties, train staff, enforce policies, and handle special projects while maintaining accurate records and safe operations across indoor and outdoor

Qualifications

• Three years of SCADA operating system experience or five years in water production operation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of water storage tanks capacities, pumping capacities, and transfer between zones.
• Ability to read and write reports to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Responsibilities

• Assist SCADA Supervisor in planning and directing Response Center activities and SCADA operations.
• Assign duties and work orders to Water System Operators.
• Train new Water System Operators and provide guidance in difficult situations.
• Review and deliver reports to TCEQ within required deadlines.
• Work on special projects as directed by the SCADA Supervisor.
