Strategic Government Resources, Inc. is seeking a Water System Operator responsible for operating raw water pump stations, SCADA, and related equipment near McKinney, TX.

The role requires a valid TCEQ Class C Water Distribution license and a Texas driver’s license, with at least two years of relevant experience and proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Shifts may vary (day/evening/night) and you must be able to respond within 90 minutes during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of experience in water system operation and/or construction (pump stations, pipelines and related systems).
• Must have a TCEQ Class C Water Distribution license or higher and a valid Class C Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Duties include operating raw water pump stations, electrical systems and the SCADA system.
• Duties also include inspecting, maintaining and repairing pumps, motors, tanks, vaults, pipelines, valves, control valves and phone lines.
• Maintain grounds, easements and vehicles; prepare reports and keep related files.
• Be available for callback in emergency situations and maintain a maximum 90-minute emergency response time.
• Work hours may vary (day, evening or night).
