Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Project Manager for our SCADA & Communications department in Oregon. You will oversee telecommunications, SCADA, fiber optic, and RTU projects through full life cycle, coordinating with engineers, area managers, and contractors.

Responsibilities include planning, design, execution, monitoring, and closeout within approved scopes, schedules, and budgets. Travel to client sites is required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of directly related professional experience.
• Able to work on-site at client locations in Oregon including Portland, Bend, Roseburg, Albany, Medford, Grants Pass, Klamath Falls.
• Experience with utilities telecommunications and SCADA.
• Occasional travel and US Citizenship or Green Card holders.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital telecom, SCADA, and RTU replacement projects or phases within scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Lead planning, design, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities.
• Develop scopes of work, RFPs, schedules, cost forecasts, risk tracking, and change control docs.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors on scope, specifications, schedules, and changes.
• Maintain RTU replacement program schedules based on asset data and project timelines.
• Set up site-specific projects and work orders for RTU replacements with proper scoping.
• Coordinate with telecom engineering, area managers, technicians, contractors, and vendors.
• Track RTU replacement work to avoid duplication and align with capital projects.
• Ensure equipment and materials are ordered, shipped, and tracked per schedules.
• Coordinate field execution, decommissioning, documentation, and project closeout.
