Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a PLC/SCADA Technician to support water and wastewater facilities. You will troubleshoot PLC/OIT/HMI systems, maintain communications gear, and collaborate with operations and electricians to ensure reliable operations.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in the field, and knowledge of Allen-Bradley RSLogix, Modicon Unity, and Wonderware. Some travel and on-call availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or relevant technical experience required.
• 5+ years’ experience in related field preferred.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley RSLogix) and Modicon Unity is desirable.
• Familiarity with SCADA, HMI, and networking concepts.
• Water or wastewater industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and maintains PLC, OIT, and HMI programs for water/wastewater facilities.
• Maintains communications devices (switches, routers, modems).
• Collaborates with operations staff to resolve monitoring and control issues within SLAs.
• Works with electricians and instrument techs to monitor field devices via PLC.
• Performs upgrades to PLC/OIT/HMI programs and startup testing.
• Delivers turnkey projects from development to commissioning.
