Job summary

Trimark Associates, Inc. seeks a SCADA Technical Writer to develop and maintain technical documentation for utility-scale renewable energy SCADA solutions.

You will work with SCADA engineers, software developers, project managers, and subject matter experts to create clear control narratives, HMI narratives, operating procedures, and customer deliverables. The ideal candidate has a technical writing background, strong attention to detail, and experience documenting complex industrial control

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience creating technical documentation within industrial automation, SCADA, controls engineering, power systems, renewable energy, or similar environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and ability to document complex systems.
• Experience with industrial control systems, SCADA platforms, control narratives, HMI narratives, and engineering documentation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, software developers, project managers, and other technical staff to document technical information.
• Develop and maintain system descriptions, commissioning procedures, user guides, operating descriptions, and customer deliverables.
• Create and improve control narratives, HMI narratives, system architecture documentation, and workflows.
• Review diagrams, architectures, and workflows to improve clarity, completeness, and usability.
• Translate complex concepts into clear customer-facing documentation for operators, technicians, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews and project meetings to ensure documentation reflects functionality and requirements.
• Maintain revision history and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure documentation adheres to company standards and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to stay informed of product enhancements and system changes.
• Support ongoing improvement of documentation processes, templates, and standards.
