Job summary

Crescent Solutions seeks an experienced SCADA Technical Project Manager to support utility-scale Battery Energy Storage, Solar PV, and hybrid renewable energy projects. The role combines hands-on SCADA and controls expertise with technical project leadership, from engineering through testing and commissioning.

Travel up to 50% to project sites is required; candidates must be comfortable with significant site visits and coordinating with EPCs, OEMs, and vendors to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience with SCADA/control systems, including project execution and commissioning.
• Strong experience with Ignition SCADA and PLC programming.
• Expertise with OPC, Modbus, DNP3, EtherNet/IP, CAN, RTUs, historians, and industrial networking.
• Experience with BESS, Solar PV, hybrid plants, utility interconnections, or renewable generation.
• Knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, firewalls, and industrial managed switches.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, project management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of SCADA, PLC, RTU, HMI, networking, and plant control systems.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, contractors, EPCs, OEMs, consultants, and vendors.
• Develop, review, and optimize PLC programs using Schneider M340/M580 and similar platforms.
• Oversee SCADA integration utilizing Ignition, OPC, historians, RTACs, and industrial networks.
• Lead and support FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup, interconnection, and performance testing.
• Review electrical, controls, communications, and networking drawings and specifications.
• Provide technical leadership for SCADA architecture and plant control strategies.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, protection relays, inverters, meters, managed switches, networking equipment, and fiber systems.
• Establish coding, documentation, configuration management, cybersecurity, and version-control standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and communicate project status, milestones, risks, and corrective actions.

This position combines hands-on SCADA and controls expertise with technical project leadership, supporting projects from engineering and integration through testing, startup, and commissioning.

Please note: This role requires up to 50% travel to project sites. Candidates must be comfortable with significant travel based on project execution and commissioning schedules.

Key Responsibilities
