Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a SCADA Specialist to support North American pipelines and products systems from Houston, TX.

You will join a cross-functional IT/SCADA team to administer and develop real-time applications, HMIs, and data interfaces in a safety-conscious environment. The role requires 3+ years with SCADA/automation, experience with GeoSCADA or Ignition, and strong scripting in PowerShell, JavaScript, or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with SCADA, automation or real-time systems.
• Experience with GeoSCADA or Ignition preferred.
• Basic programming skills and familiarity with OO development.
• SQL database and stored procedures experience required.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word; scripting in PowerShell, JavaScript, or Python; .NET familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide SCADA system administration and management in a team.
• Ensure KM SCADA procedures and standards are followed.
• Analyze, design, and implement SCADA applications, HMIs, and reports.
• Develop data interfaces between business and SCADA apps.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Control Center, and Operations to meet requirements.
• Support hardware and software for SCADA with IT staff.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and Telecom to review system maintenance and network design.
• Develop documentation for applications, graphics, and procedures.
